Fresh as . . . . . a begonia!

The begonia in the hanging basket by the back door just goes on and on! Whereas many plants are beginning to look a bit tired, this is still very fresh, and if the weather continues like it is today then there is no reason why it can't go on for many more weeks.
I haven't ventured out today. There is a lot of publicity locally about cyclists on Surrey roads. Since the Olympic cycle race through the county and then this year the London/Surrey race and the recent Tour of Britain race, our roads are considered by all cyclists to be a training ground. Cars with cycle racks on top pour out of London at the weekend and discharge the bike riders. The lanes are narrow and twisting and there are few passing places so everybody gets frustrated. Yes, I know cycling is good for you and we should be more tolerant. Maybe we should just remember to leave an extra hour for our journey!
