Meeting familial

Today was very extraordinary. Different relatives whom we had never met contacted me at about the same time by chance so a gathering was arranged. There were nine of us all together coming from Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Sussex and Dublin, three generations of all sorts of cousins from my mother's family. The two eldest had last seen each other when they were twelve years old, many moons ago! We all knew the sisters, brothers, parents etc ( who have now died) but had never met the others for some reason or another. Every one of us had a great time and conversation flowed easily, everybody enjoyed themselves, old photos were examined, a few skeletons came out of the cupboard (!) and the family tree studied. A very special day.
