Stepping Stones, Devil's Dumble

It is very civilised getting up at 6:00 am and still having an hour to get in position for a dawn photograph! I popped up onto Cannock Chase and caught the sunrise, although it was hidden behind trees (not an uncommon problem on the Chase). Had some fun in a small pasture with the small amount of mist that hung around a valley bottom and then headed back to these stepping stones.

When I checked the OS map it was interesting to find out the name of this area.

I also used a facility on Lightroom to geocode the images authomatically. To do this you use a GPS tracking device (most smart phones have apps which provide the same facility these days), export the gpx file of the walk and load it into Lightroom. As long as the date and time on your camera and phone (or GPS device) are synced the programme quickly geocodes all of the images. Neat!
