A modern gothic tale

My day of intense learning on how to use my camera (learning, though not necessarily achieving in practice) continued into the dark. A few shots taken of the outdoor smokers at a friend's birthday party and then continuing at home, sitting outside until 2.00 a.m. I tried many settings out on this. Some lit the background too much, some too grainy, this I liked best (the wine was nice too).
