Apples!

The apples on the overhanging branches of our neighbour's tree are ready for harvesting, so that is what we did this morning. The snails were after them too, as you can see from the first picture. How long must it have taken for this snail to climb the tree and make it down the branch and onto the apple? Poor thing didn't get much further because I knocked him off.

I decided to get baking with some of them (even though they're eating apples) and found this recipe for apple and walnut torta online. It is supposed to be a pudding, but we couldn't wait and had some as a very early starter. Yum!
