The Pills

Can't help nicknaming our birds - especially when they are as raucous as this lot! Three pileated woodpeckers - a parent and two grown chicks - have discovered our hanging suet and have been making frequent visits. They tend to announce their presence, which is nice, as I can take a break from work and watch them out of the window. They eat a lot, but who can begrudge them? The are the kings of the woodpecker world after all.
