Mosaic Party
Today I went to Norfolk to help dear friend Carolyn celebrate her 50th birthday (and her daughters' 16th).
I've known Carolyn for, well, 16 years.... as our eldest children are the same age and we shared those very bonding early years shock-to-the-system feelings that having a new baby entails. Although our group of friends have since moved further away from each other we do still try to get together regularly, certainly to celebrate birthdays but also to have a good laugh.
Since Carolyn is a fabulous mosaic & jewellery artist, and famous for her butterflies, she asked us all to bring something personal to help her put together a memory for the day.
What a fantastic idea and what a fantastic day xxxx.
Congratulations Carolyn and Ayla, and here's to the next 50 years :-)
More here (finding the death's head hawk moth in the bedroom was a bit surreal, as it is her favourite moth, and she had never seen one in Norfolk before).
