Old friends return

There are three Dexter cows back at the reserve, grazing a rather isolated wood pasture area. They seemed very pleased to see me today when I went to check them and top up their water. It was a glorious afternoon and I saw Speckled Wood, Small Copper, Comma and Small Tortoiseshell butterflies still on the wing.
