Ready to pounce

Spiders are a fact of life around my property. They are inside the house, underneath rocks and in crevices everywhere. Generally speaking unless you come across the deadly variety such as Red Backs, Funnel Webs and Trapdoors there is nothing too much to worry about.
This one displayed in the photo is very common but what is unusual is the way its web is constructed. Fully grown their body can be about a centimeter in size with leg protrusions measuring more than ten centimeters.
