Cool

I cannot express how much I prefer cool weather to warm weather, and the last couple of days a cold front has made it very cool. Suddenly I want to be outside again!

The moment between Summer and Winter (and it usually is only a moment here, although to be honest it still never gets really cold) is probably my favorite time of year. It's when I feel most attentive and most productive. To wit: I've gotten more grading, reading, and writing done this weekend than I have since the beginning of the semester. It's still not all done, of course, but this is the first time in a while I don't feel guilty making a blip because I should be doing something else.

Now if only we could get cooler weather without my allergies trying their damnedest to kill me.
