The One
I borrowed this huge lensy thing, a 300mm 1:4, from G today in order to get a photograph of a Dusky Flycatcher. It's been a good twenty years since I hefted a long lens around in the bush camps where I lived. Mine was of spectacularly poor quality.
So out I headed this morning armed with the enormous and heavy telephoto and as luck would have it, my first frame of the day was of a ... Dusky Flycatcher! Ignore the hint of branch that obscures the head a little. Rather look at the character and jizz of the creature. One of my ultimate birds :)
