Touchy-feely bark

'Sketch', on a rainy day, of one of the Seqoiadendra in the woods where we are staying. Poor lighting means I must return (it's only a few hundred metres from our accommodation) and take more care to bring out the best of this great specimen.

On the other hand, the biggest in Britain (so it is claimed) is only 9 miles away! So, when the weather improves a wee bit, boots on and tripod at the ready...! And I might also capture a red squirrel. But, of course, they move a wee bit faster than Sequoia giganteum!
