Life through the lens...

Sunrise

A lovely start to the day, but only lasted about 10mins and then it was gone.
It has been warm though, and no rain.
Managed to get all the washing dry.

This afternoon we watched a very old Floyd on Food. From 1987.
He was in Cornwall, and one of the places he visited was The Count House restaurant at Botallack.
We used to go there when my mum and dad lived in Cornwall, back in the 70's and 80's.
It was a favourite place then, and it was lovely to see him chatting to Ann Long, who was owner and chef.
We still regard her food as some of the best we have ever eaten, and I still do some of her recipes today.
Oatmeal meringue with fresh raspberries.
Fillet steaks in sherry and cream sauce.
Saute garlic prawns and mushrooms.

Happy memories!

We saw this duck on the canal yesterday.
Can anyone tell me what it is. I've never seen one with a fan tail before.
see here Duck.
