A Ropey Three

Well, .....this snuck up on me a little bit - I was just about to post a closer shot of Rope Forest 2.0 when I saw how many Blips I'd posted in a row...1094 - three years since I uploaded my first Blip. Not thinking I'd get passed two weeks I am somewhat surprised to be writing this at all.

Thanks to the amazing folk that run Blip Central and all my fellow Blippers I have found a confidence in my photography that I could never have imagined when I started with a borrowed point-and-shoot from work, three years ago.

Still with a borrowed camera, but a DSLR these days, I am trying to turn this hobby/obsession into a real career. Since I now have quite a few print sales behind me , a few commissions, my own gallery (after a fashion) and that I've also managed to get paid for work by VisitCopenhagen.com, The Sunday Times & The Sun (and DHL ....of course), I feel I might be on my way.

Unfortunately, part of the reason for starting my Blips was to follow a quite major surgical procedure that has not gone all that well. I hope those who follow my journal (Hi Mom) know that I don't comment so much these days for this reason more than any other. My apologies to those that that applies to.
