Lacewing

This poor little lacewing that flew in through the window looks as if one of its lacy wing has been attacked. I hope that it has managed to lay many eggs in the garden because the larvae are regarded as the gardener's friend. They love to eat aphids and other small insect pests and it's possible to buy the larvae as pest control.
