The Bridges of Carroll County
This is the area for covered bridges, and this one was in Jackson, just a short walk from the hotel. If I'm honest, I've never really thought hard about why they are covered, but I assume it is to keep them clear from snow in the winter. It certainly felt a bit cold and wintry this morning, but driving from Jackson to Stowe in Vermont, the temperature increased by 15 degrees F. Unfortunately, it might be warmer but it's still wet, although it should get better later.
