Master Harper
Gardiner Crescent Edinburgh
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them. ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today, i spent a couple of hours in Edinburgh, where I made a new friend. Master Harper is six months old and is Deviously Delicious. He belongs to my friend Jan and his fiancée Siobhan. I came over for a quick visit and to bring Harper (Jan some maple syrup for his coffee) some gifts from Canada (four little monsters, one of which is featured).
After a lovely catch up, we decided to go for a walk and go to the The Scottish Gallery for tea. At tea , I was asking Siobhan about her job because It sounds very interesting. Siobhan is the Programme Director, Amnesty International Scotland. Now, Jan, other hand is a crazy character he is the owner of City Of the Dead Tour on the Royal Mile and author of young adult and children's books.
I met Jan the first time I came to Scotland in 2009, while on one of his tours. I was the crazy girl that asked all kinds of questions and I was pulled aside and told to listen to the tour guide. I guess I made an impression because we instantly became friends.
After reading some of his books, he asked to read some of his manuscripts, he wanted my North American opinion . I then recruited my Nephew Michael due to he is the target age group. In Jan's latest book he based a character on Michael. Michael was so ecstatic. Jan also donated his full catalogue to Michael's public school in Lancaster, Ohio.
Jan and Siobhan are such loving and very generous to me and I love them very much. I am very Thankful for them in my life.
