Beats Making Pie Crust!
I spotted this appealing seasonal beer while shopping at the Community Food Co-op this afternoon, and thought a bottle or two would make a great Thanksgiving dessert, particularly as the descriptive tag next to it said "This is pumpkin pie in a bottle."
The Bruery ("...a fusion of 'brewery' with our family name, Rue") specializes in unfiltered experimental and barrel-aged beer, including a 12 Days/Years of Christmas series. Their blog offered some great food pairings with Autumn Maple beer, and I think that Phil and I will have to try some of them:
-- Brie with fig jam and walnuts
-- Pork loin or chops rubbed with mustard, minced garlic, and rosemary, and roasted with sliced apples and red onion
-- Mushroom risotto with caramelized onions
Sounds good to me!
