not my childhood

my childhood was pretty good, i like it. a lot of playing outside. a lot of misadventures. from what i see of my students, i'd say they're having a pretty good childhood too. and the school curriculum adds to that.

they got to catch crayfish in first semester as a part of their school assignment. they had "exploration" days, where they explored all the parks and facilities the town. this semester, they went around and explored clubs that they'd be interested in joining next year. they went on crazy overnight school trips. they planted vegetables, flowers, and rice. in the summer, they caught and collected bugs, shot fireworks, biked around and did mischief. their childhood is still consisted of a huge amount of time playing outside despite having access to TV, 3DS, and other technologies and entertainment.

i would've loved to be able to catch crayfish as a part of my school assignment ><
