Gate on the Wall...

...the ancient Walls surrounding the City of York. I've lived in various corners of Yorkshire for a good many years, the last 15 within 25K of York. I have visited the city many times, but today I met up with chum M and walked the city walls for the first time.

Today we were tourists, a beautiful blue sky day. Took lots of pics. Instead of views from the walls I couldn't resist the centuries old gates situated at various points along the way.
