"The press were out in force"

There was a film industry gala/dinner/auction/thing being set up over the road from work this afternoon - celebs due later obviously as the paps were lined up two-deep along the very long red carpet. How exciting.

So much so that I got the tube home for a change, from Embanment, and there's a certain pleasure in getting a Mill Hill East train because there seem to be fewer people on it than the usual High Barnet train to Kentish Town.
