The last of the tomatoes

Today we took down the last of the 12 tomato plants. What you see is the last remnants of the crop. It was a good crop yielding lots of good meals as well as a supply of sauce and dried tomatoes for the winter.

Tomorrow we start to prepare the bed for the winter crop of leafy greens by working the bed and adding nutrients and the bags of steer manure in the background. This will give us a good supply for winter dinners.
