Spinach Soup

Tried a new soup today out of my goodwill book! (Wilson Farm Country Cookbook) it is good NOMNOMNOM :)

10 cups (1-1 1/2) coarsely chopped raw spinach, 1 1/2 tbs butter, 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion, 1/2 peeled finley chopped carrots (but i used celery), 1 small clove finely chopped garlic, 6 cups chicken broth, 1/2 cup uncooked small pasta or rice, salt and pepper to taste. I also put some lime juice in (wanted lemon though)

add butter to pan, saute onion, carrots, garlic. add chicken broth cover and bring to a boil. add pasta or rice, simmer covered until pasta or rice is cooked. add spinach and cook for 3 min (or until it wlits) add salt pepper to taste.
