Little Leptos

I've finished my honours but now I'm working on another project in the lab - a directed studies.

I'm culturing pathogenic Leptospira under various conditions in an attempt to identify methylation sites on outer membrane proteins.


It's pretty cool.


These are live cells from my cultures, viewed through the objective of the dark-field microscope. Not the clearest photo, but I'm impressed my phone managed to capture anything at all. We do have a fancy Nikon specifically set up to take pictures of slides under the microscope...maybe I can convince my supervisor to let me use it one day ;)
