Ready for the off! Westerton Station. A fabulous sunny day although a coolish wind was blowing. I imagine these 'boys' were off to Helensburgh or Balloch. It might look as if they were looking at me. However, their attention was caught by a 3 townhouse complex built on the steep hill opposite the station before the 2008 financial crisis. The houses lay empty because of the cramped location, blind bend, and inflated price. Then, there was a fire and all three were boarded up, and looked a sorry sight.

Now they are being 'fixed' and the price has been virtually halved - fancy houses which have been the talk of the steamie in Westerton. On this the 100th anniversery of this attractive garden suburb (highlighted on 20th April blip) it would be good if this story had a happy ending.

I am heading for some work in Rome for the next few days so Blipfoto responses may be intermittent at best, no-existent at worst!
