It all stems from this

My wife cut one of her favourite roses today. The rose itself is quite pretty but the scent is exceptional. Unfortunately you can't photograph a scent - at least not yet, but believe it, Apple will be working on it and the iPhone 7 will have it built in. IPhones have everything else built in. Who would have believed that a phone could have an electronic compass in it? Or a spirit level? But I digress.

The rose despite its scent and colour combinations didn't interest me. What did, was the distorted shapes from the stems, complete with little air bubbles. I decided again to use the low ISO setting and set the camera on a tripod. I think it was more successful this time.
