Fettercairn

Fettercairn lies on the B974, Brechin to Banchory road, which is one of the first roads to be blocked when there is heavy snow. It is a pretty little village of red sandstone cottages, built as estate cottages I believe. We were passing through on our way to an orienteering competition in Banchory, and stopped to stretch our legs before the drive over the Cairn O' Mount.
