Milkweed along the road

I've been watching the milkweed pods breaking open over the last few weeks, and thought the formation of this particular one was lovely.

We had lovely weather today, I think it might be the end of the nice days. The forecast for the next few days is "murky". And I can feel the chill in the air. Luckily we spent an hour or so splitting wood this afternoon, so when it's time to start up the wood stove we'll be ready.
