Wednesday: Vancouver Skyline

This is the view of Vancouver from Granville Island where we spent this morning wandering around Granville Public Market.  I tell you, the selection, and quality of food made us want to weep!  It was completely inspirational and made us want to rush off into kitchen immediately!  Couple that with the fact that when we return home we will be struggling to find spring onions or a ripe avocado and you will see why we were so emotional!

We then went for a walk along the waterfront in the most perfect weather, followed by a great lunch downtown.

This evening we met up with our friends Virginia (auntie to blippers Goatee Booknerd and Folkie Booknerd) and Eric (who both so kindly hosted us when we first arrived) for possibly one of the most amazing meals we have ever had (certainly the best Indian we have ever had) at Vij's.  Believe it or not, K's main course contained jelly beans to balance the cayenne and other spices.  It really worked!
