Devastation

Last night there was a fire at our school. We are not sure at this moment of the exact cause of the blaze, but as you can see from this blip of our school hall, this has caused mass devastation.

Children were asked to remain at home, staff to come into school this morning, ready and prepared for a mass clean up operation, but by 11 am it was clear that there were more serious issues than had first been thought. We are now awaiting clearance from the powers that be before any sort of organisation can begin and from the state of the burned out electrics it could be some time before school life will be back to normal.

Usually, a day off from school is a cause for celebration, but we're home until at least Monday, and possibly later, and the pain of the fire is going to remain for a great deal longer.
