Have never grown a pumpkin that looked as good as this - not for lack of trying!

A really autumnal day - crisp and cold with blue skies and beautiful light - lovely. Much prefer this to the grey and damp we have endured of late. So it seemed fitting we bought a pumpkin - not for Halloween decoration I hastened to tell Sienna but for soup - a favourite and a good Kiwi 'tradition'.

A manic, manic day at work - you know it is when at 2.45 you still haven't stopped for lunch but out tonight with friends so all is forgotten! Best I go get ready!
