Purple tatties

I acquired some purple majesty potatoes this afternoon and the purple flesh can be a bit off putting for some - however purple and white flesh is the natural colour. Over the years potato varieties have bred out the purple so disease and damage could be seen better in the white flesh.

On the left is some chopped to show the dark speckles of the flesh, on the right is the bolied slices and at the front the chappit (mashed) tatties. A bit of butter and it was ready to be devoured!
