Wild garden delight

It's the second week of October, it has grown a little colder, but still in my garden, the hover flies are on the wing & the dandelions are still flowering - this just shows you, if you leave a small patch in your garden for these flowers or anything like them, then this sight will be for you too, plus you'll give flies such as these something to eat!

I'm afraid I found Moirai dead in her web today. She had been partially squashed, I guess by a bird which changed it's mind half way as perhaps she didn't taste as nice as she looked. It was so sad to see her hanging there, I poked her gently with a stick to make sure, but she was gone. She was a little soul. I gave her a name & observed her every day. Goodnight Moirai x
