Peace Lily

Soon after we bought our present house nearly 4 years ago, our first guests bought us a peace lily. Despite several periods of unintended neglect it still survives in the lounge and even flowers occasionally. Today a friend brought us a gift of another peace lily, this time a 'baby plant' with small flowers. So this is a close up shot of one of those flowers. Although the centre of the flower is in focus it wasn't possible to get it all focussed so the blurred effect of the rest of the plant is either deliberate or an accident - you choose! I did try to get a shot of 'little and large' but it wasn't very successful!

We'll try to look after this young plant with even more care than we did the original. I guess we've been given a second chance!
