It's official

Today is the first day of autumn - thank goodness for that, the heating is being switched on. This scene was an unexpected and welcome sight when we stopped of for a drink in the Queen Victoria - cheers Karen and Alan. The fireplace, with its glorious glow, reminded me of a time long ago when we would come home from school, we used to walk everywhere in "those days" and in all weathers! My mum would stand in front of the fire and lift her skirt to warm her self and I would giggle at her, bless you mum, miss you mum x
