Hippy trail to Chefchaouen

Arrived in Chefchaouen today to learn that this was one of the hippy capitals in the world for hash smoking young people in the 1960s.
I had never heard of it. But a quick look st a few and it was a few other tourists there revealed middle hippies on trip down memory lane..
I bought a hash pipe - purely for decoration.

This is one of the most beautiful towns though famed throughout Morocco for its white buildings painted with blue walls and doors.
We arrived on market day and the centre was a heaving with Berbers selling their produce along with gosts and sheep.
The Berber women in this region are noted for their distinctive headgear - pyramid shaped straw hats decorated with brightly coloured pom-poms.
