Not your typical tear drop balloon.

High winds predicted for this morning.
So, we slept in,
Only to discover the air calm,
With no flags flying.

We threw on clothes,
Then grabbed the shuttle to the field.
Certain we'd missed the special shapes,
My personal favorite.

Luckily, these super unique balloons,
Didn't fly and remained tethered.
Because of high winds above 200 ft.

About 9:00 AM, 40 mph wind hit with a vengeance.
Blowing grit into my eyes and face.
Our RV rocked all afternoon,
While being sand blasted by flying dirt.
Heavy rain did provide relief from airborne objects.
Events canceled for tonight.

Tomorrow's weather is a green light.
