The Armadillo

The roof of the Clyde Auditorium, to use its formal title.

Completed by Foster & Partners in 1997, its iconic shapes apparently refer to the hulls of ships built in the Clyde shipyards. In my humble opinion, the Armadillo is the most distinguished piece of new architecture in this little cluster.
