A wild flower meadow.

I noticed this area of wild flowers when I was out for a bimble on my bike last week end. It is within the extended grounds of Edge Hill University.
The Uni. is in the midst of a big expansion programme involving buildings and playing fields. It was a pleasant surprise to see an extensive area reserved for wild flowers and new trees. So I returned today, sans camera.
After getting this shot I saw a tractor and mower starting to cut the area, I had got there just in time. I suppose this will encourage the plants to reseed and regenerate in spring next year.
