Everything stops for tea...

Just sitting in a park cafe having a cup of coffee and a toastie when a wedding photographer led his charges in and they all sat down for tea. The bridesmaid seemed less than enchanted with this development, maybe she wanted coffee.

We've been wandering the south side of Ankara today, from park to park and through a few residential neighbourhoods. Had about the healthiest mid-morning snack possible - walnuts and apples that were falling off the trees and landing right at our feet! Couldn't find a kebab tree though. Went to the Atakule Tower, a 400 meter high observation tower of top of one of the city's many hills, hoping for some great views over lunch but the place is almost derelict with only the observation terrace open. So we took in the view and headed onward to another park. Then some shops. And a bar.
