Honesty

I try to be honest with the young people I work with, they can spot fake straightaway. Of course this doesn't mean I can say what I think all the time, I'd be sacked.
Had a restorative meeting with a young person this afternoon , during which she was asked for some honesty. It was a big ask. I could see the internal battle going on. We didn't get honesty, we got " don't care". But it was good to see the battle as it showed capacity.
I gave a little honesty to another on my way home, have been dying to but felt conflicted by being an employee. It felt good.
This honesty has appeared in our garden this year, from where I know not.
