Rough Seas
After yesterday's willd and windy weather I thought I would try and capture something of this wildness on Belhaven Beach this morning. Although the winds had dropped a little, there was still a heavy swell and I wandered down to the water's edge with Zoe. As I was finishing the shoot, as luck would have it, an oyster catcher decided to take off from the beach and fly low over the turbulent sea. Fortunately I managed to latch onto it and this became my obvious foreground to the crashing waves behind. I suppose essentially one is trying to capture an atmosphere and I hope the oyster catcher with its incredibly strong and direct flight accentuates the turbulence around.
