Today was a hectic day, but also a good one. I was up early enough so I could be at the sanctuary when they opened. I actually had 5 minutes to spare during which I took a few shots of this slug that was gliding through the grass.

I had a very nice walk with Alfred, who has now been named Diesel by the sanctuary. He'll always be Alfred to me though. Towards the end of our walk the temporary employment agency phoned me to ask whether I could start a little earlier this afternoon. They told me that I could work at the same place again tomorrow and then another 3 days next week as well. There is a bit more good news on that front and all will be revealed in time but I prefer to keep it under my hat for a wee bit longer in order not to jinx it.

Sorry for not commenting on any other journals but I'll be off to bed when I've finished posting this as I have to get up at 5 am in the morning to start work at 7 am.
