Swansboro

Gina and I arrived at this cute little seaside town for a bike ride I found on the internet - about 26 miles, a loop, partially through a national forest. Not what was expected. A proposal to the town council 3 years ago went absolutely nowhere. There were no signs, no designated paths or lanes, nothing, except lots of traffic on very busy roads. After about 3.5 miles we turned around, had lunch and returned home, about an hour and a half away. The weather was cloudy, fairly warm, warm with an occasional drizzle.
