Gingerbread Men.

These delicious biscuits are well known in this area. They are Ormskirk gingerbread Men, (I refuse to refer to them as persons). Both Mrs J and myself used to enjoy them as children and as we are in our second childhood we treated ourselves to them when we visited Ormskirk yesterday.
The first documented instance to gingerbread men was during the reign of Elizabeth the First, she had figures made in the likeness of special guests and then they were presented to them.
Viewed large they are about life size!
