An afternoon out with Mommy xx
We had a busy afternoon planned that I was worrying about a bit, as it didn't involve anything I thought Eva would enjoy. On the agenda for the afternoon was my eyebrow appointment, hair appointment, doctors appointment, chemist. I asked my mom if she'd have Eva, but she's been in so much pain still from the accident, she still can't lift Eva. I considered cancelling at least the eyebrow appointment, but decided to just be brave and go for it all. I packed all the essentials, snuggle blankets, toys, num nums and baby biscuits, made sure Eva had a feed and she'd had her sleep, and off we set at 1.30.
She was an absolute pleasure to take, and I really needn't have worried about it at all. She got that much attention from everyone too, she was in her element. I'd taken toys for her to sit and play with in the hairdressers in her pram, but she was more interested in chewing the rollers that Tor (my hairdresser) passed her, and looking all around at everyone. She was all smiles for everybody. I was a little worried when it was time to dry my hair, as she'd cried the other week when I dried it myself and seemed frightened of the hair dryer, but not today, no. In fact, another lady who was having her hair done, asked if she could hold her while I had my hair dried, and she just bounced up and down on this lady's lap finding the whole experience rather fun.
We'd gone out at 1.30 and didn't return til nearly 6pm (and I hadn't even bothered with the chemist to get my prescription as thought enough was enough for one afternoon). She'd had nothing, bar a baby biscuit, to eat in all that time, and yet the only time she cried very slightly, was after we'd been kept waiting for half an hour in the docs. Bless her so much!
I got in and started her with her dinner, but when Mike came in from work, he took over so I could go and get ready, as was going out for Tracy's birthday, and the taxi was booked for 7.15. I gave her a big milk feed, then handed her over to her Daddy who bathed her and settled her in bed, and off out I went leaving Eva happy as Larry.
Had a great night with the girls, we had such a laugh. We'd only gone for a curry but it was lovely to all chat, catch up and have a good old giggle.
I was home for just after 10, and Eva hadn't really stirred much all evening. She must have known Mommy was home though, as she woke just as Mike was going up to bed, so I went up, gave her big cuddles and a top up feed, and settled her back down to sleep xxxxx
