Cakes

Amelia and Ben spent the morning baking and have sat outside all afternoon selling their wares. They are without doubt the worst salespeople I have ever seen - for the first hour they sort of sat and stared balefully at the passers by. Fortunately, people are kind to children, and some have paid well over the odds for their fairy cakes! A brilliant way for them to spend the afternoon out of our hair. Bloody lovely cakes, too.

I got up, had breakfast and went back to bed for a read of my book, then to Waitrose, had lunch, did a bit of mooching about the house (and cake eating), and now I am making supper and looking forward to Strictly later. What a rock and roll life I lead!
