Walking Trinity
Dublin is known for its music and culture, so we devoted our penultimate day to experiencing a bit of both. The New Dublin Tour was a three to four hour whirlwind of Dublin's history dating all the way back to the creation of the island and the Viking invasion - the tour guides here really do know their stuff and answered some of the most obscure questions I've ever heard. It was also the longest tour I've ever been on, and the only one that required a tea break! For a free tour it really is fantastic, tip well guys, as the guides here really do devote themselves to these tours and knowing all there is to know about the city.
We also had a little wander through St Stephen's Green just at the bottom of the high street, before filling our bellies with a proper Irish stew and settling down with Guinness and Jameson's to wile away the evening enjoying some proper Irish music. This is an experience you really do have to have; the musicians are so talented and charismatic, and the atmosphere in these sorts of pubs is brilliant.
