Wooden Heart

Another Saturday taking up floorboards, levelling the new joists the fella has put in and taking multiple trips to the tip. I make it sound that I had a lot to do with this but apart from the tip runs, I can't claim any credit. The fella has been working v hard again and I cannot even begin to say how much I appreciate it. My sis and her fella popped over to help - he was great taking up the last of the floorboards in the hall. So now we're having to walk very gingerly between joists. It's going to look sooooo good when it's done tho I can put up with a bit of inconvenience for a few days.

We've also decided to make a fireplace in the lounge - at the moment it's a small hole. Won't put a fireplace in for now but think just having an area with a surround and a basket will look so much better. And final house news is the original hearth tiles are still in the bedroom - they're not totally my style but will keep them when the floor gets sanded.

Apologies for my blip being so full of house stuff at the moment - it's kind of taking over my life. Hopefully the fun stuff will start soon.
