Still Smiling...

... Just

No sooner had I posted yesterday's blip about how well I was surviving as a temporary single parent and things started to go pear shaped. Euan started to complain of feeling ill and his big sis stepped into nurse mode, made him up a nice hot water bottle and settled him into her bedroom with some soothing "Hellboy" on DVD. I gave him a basin to put near the bed.

Started today off with an early morning phone call to Gran for cover then a hastily re-shuffled work diary followed by a drop off with the patient in his dressing gown and Dr. Who slippers.

It didn't get much better at work either as there were staff absences there to cover also. Things did improve by the afternoon as the sun came out and the Friday feeling slowly creeped in.

Euan's also had a miraculous recovery too, from what I now suspect was a bad case of Fridayitis. He's also just flipped my computer keyboard upside-down during a particularly tricky manoeuvre in Duel on Wii Sports Resort.

As the picture shows though, I have caved to the takeaway temptation and the pizza was ordered before the first bottle of Bud was drained.
